Meet Summer Wu

Summer (Zixiu) Wu, Esq. is a licensed California attorney and the founder of The Law Firm of Summer Wu, LLC, a boutique practice dedicated to helping international brand owners protect and grow their presence in the United States. With over 18 years of combined experience in intellectual property law, Summer brings a rare blend of legal precision, cultural fluency, and practical insight to every matter — from first search through registration and long-term portfolio management.

Summer has prepared, filed, and prosecuted hundreds of U.S. trademark applications before the USPTO, guiding clients through Office Action responses, multi-class filings, and Madrid Protocol extensions. Her earlier career includes trademark and patent prosecution work in Washington, D.C., international IP filings for Japanese and Chinese clients in Hong Kong, and cross-border business experience at a global bank in Hong Kong.

In her spare time, Summer enjoys watercolor painting and other art, yoga, hiking, and spending time with nature.
